Job Purpose: Provide operational support to the trading team, as well as to the Investment Committee and Chief Investment Officer. The primary responsibility of the position is the rebalancing of client accounts within the firm’s portfolio management system, Tamarac Advisor Rebalancing®, as well as other tasks performed in support of the firm’s investment services and asset management teams.
Essential Job Results:
MAINTAINS TAMARAC ADVISOR REBALANCING®. Maintains client accounts within Tamarac Advisor Rebalancing®, including model assignments, restrictions, cash reserves, etc. Prepares and inputs trade orders into Tamarac according to portfolio guidelines. Achieves and maintains proficiency with entire Tamarac software suite. Implements model changes in Tamarac as directed by the Investment Committee. Reviews security settings and restrictions in Tamarac on a regular basis. Monitors saved searches in Tamarac on a daily basis.

- EXECUTES AND RECONCILES TRADES AT MULTIPLE CUSTODIANS. Accurately and timely processes daily trade ledgers. Reviews trades and identifies any that need further review, and subsequently interacts with advisors and client service teams around those or any other questions.
- ASSISTS AND SUPPORTS INVESTMENT COMMITTEE. Assists and supports the Investment Committee and Chief Investment Officer as needed. Researches and gathers data, prepares presentations, and generates reports.
- CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT. Interacts with immediate colleagues, Investment Committee, and asset management and financial planning groups to promote smooth workflow, identify and resolve problems, advance the firm’s image and accomplish results which support the mission of JFS Wealth Advisors.
- Complete related duties, as assigned. Occasional projects for other investment-related teams such as asset management or Family Wealth & Legacy Planning.
- Possess a working knowledge of JFS’ compliance and operational policies and procedures and abide by them while fulfilling this position’s various responsibilities.

Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent amount of education.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience with financial services firm. Recent college graduates may be considered if degree and college experience set is aligned with job requirement.
- Working knowledge of asset allocation and portfolio construction.
- Prior experience with rebalancing software and trading platforms a plus.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with basic applications, including Microsoft Office, and proven ability to learn other software and technology. Prior experience with investment related software a plus.
- Ability to work comfortably and effectively against daily deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong oral/written communication skills.
- Notable attention to detail, self-initiated follow-through, and outstanding time management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify tax and investment-related issues in portfolios.
- Dedication to working in a team-based environment.
- Prior experience with Tamarac Advisor Rebalancing®, Tamarac Advisor View®, and Practifi CRM ®.
- Experience with custodian platforms of Schwab and Fidelity.
- Industry designations or licenses.
